Better Outcomes in Mental Health(BOiMHC)
This initiative funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aging is aimed at improving mental health services.
Better Outcomes in Mental Health Care program provide GPs with a "GP Psych Support" 24 hour phone support service so that GPs can access psychiatrists when needed.  The BOiMHC program also includes the Access to Allied Psychological Services(ATAPS) program that, though a voucher system, allows GPs to refer patients to a private counsellor for an initial 6 visits and a repeat 6 visits if necessary.
